eMPF Platform Company expresses grave concern over the impersonation of MPF scheme members by a criminal syndicate

MPFA and eMPF Company Publish Annual Reports for 2024-25

The MPFA today (4 March) announced the re-appointment of Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau, MPFA Chairman as Chairman and non-executive director (NED) of eMPF Platform Company Limited (eMPF Company). Nine incumbent NEDs were also re-appointed to the Board of Directors of eMPF Company for a term of two years. 

The MPFA and the eMPF Platform Company (the eMPF Company) established an Expert Group (the Group) for the eMPF Platform. With the second phase eMPF Platform (the eMPF) onboarding to commence in early March, the establishment of the Group serves to offer relevant professional opinions to help the project team address any upcoming challenges, thus providing better services and experience to users.  

MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau published her blog post today (16 February), highlighting that five MPF schemes had successively joined the eMPF Platform (the eMPF) since June last year. Of nearly 200,000 transaction instructions processed via the eMPF in the initial phase of the operation, two-thirds were conducted electronically, including contributions, MPF withdrawals, transfer of MPF benefits and change of investment mandate.

The MPFA and the eMPF Platform Company (eMPF Company), the wholly-owned subsidiary of MPFA, today (1 September) published their Annual Reports for 2023-24 respectively, covering the key work of MPFA and the eMPF Company as well as their financial reports for the financial year. 

MPFA Chairman Mrs Ayesha Macpherson Lau published her blog post today (25 August), highlighting that the eMPF Platform (the eMPF), which is now in operation, is considered a leader among digital platforms of private pension systems in the world. According to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), most digital platforms of private pension systems are of the nature of a dashboard. The users can only view the information transmitted from the systems of different pension operators, and functions like account management and transactions are not available.

All the account information under the MPF scheme of the first MPF trustee joining the eMPF, YF Life Trustee, has been successfully uploaded to the eMPF after a week of preparation work and data migration process. YF Life Trustee’s scheme members and employers can now manage MPF administration via the eMPF from today, marking the start of the MPF digital era.
